So you’ve created a Facebook page for your business. And now you’re wondering just how to get more people to “like†your page so that they will receive updates made to your page in their news feed. You can start by including a link to your Facebook page on your website as well as in newsletters and your e-mail signature. You can also try suggesting your Facebook page to your Facebook friends. Facebook’s page suggestion feature is an easy, natural and effective way to boost your following significantly with people from your own network.
To suggest your page, simply log in to your Facebook account and go to the page you want to suggest. Click on Suggest To Friends, which is located in the menu directly underneath the profile picture.
A pop-up screen will appear. From this pop-up screen, you can select which friends to send a page suggestion. To select friends, simply click on their icons.
After you’ve finished selecting friends to send suggestions, you can add a personal message that tells them why they should consider following this page. Keep this message short, simple and enticing with something along the lines of “Follow this page to keep up with our company news and special offers.â€
You can suggest any Facebook page to your current Facebook friends; you don’t have to be a page administrator or even follow the page. Keep in mind that you cannot, however, suggest the page to people with whom you are not currently Facebook friends.
