My Google Business Profile Isn’t Showing Up in Search Results?
There could be a lot of reasons your Google My Business profile doesn’t show up in search results. According to Google, if your Google Business Profile is verified, it will show up on Google Maps but will not always appear in search results. Your business information’s placement in search results varies.
To troubleshoot your business listing, first make sure your listing is verified. This process typically entails receiving a postcard, phone call, video call, or another verification method from Google. Once your business is verified, Google will show your business in Maps. To further enhance your listing, request and respond to reviews from your customers, answer customer questions submitted to your profile, and post regularly using the Post feature. This will signal to Google that your business is highly responsive and relevant to your customers’ interests.
For new businesses, the most common reason a profile won’t show up is because the profile is simply too new. If you have only recently been verified, your profile has to go through an approval process before Google makes your information public.
If your business has been open and verified, but you still are not showing up when you search for your business on Google, check the Insights on Google Business Profile to see how many views your business has received and whether those were on search or maps. If your business is generating views and engagement, then the listing is set up correctly and Google is showing it. Keep in mind Google will not show your business in every search. If the listing is not generating views in the Insights section of the Google Business Profile, you may need to troubleshoot further.
